Little Jack Frost

Post  little.sureshot on Thu Jan 06, 2011 2:54 am

Hey guys.
Guess what.
I'M BACK!!
I hope you noticed my absence...this round of holidays seemed to be busier than usual.
Anyway, being back in the great Northwest gives me opportunity to take pictures of things I don't have at home.
Namely, cold weather...

Dude, it is cold, but everything isn't always covered in ice...

Saturday, for example. At the debate tournament...it wasn't icy...just...cold.
That's a typical day here in January...though lots of times we have rain...

I must beg to differ.
When i was driving, there was ice on the sides.
therefore, it was icy on Saturday. Wink But then again, normal for Washington isn't normal. You can never know what the weather is going to be like. Like today. the sun is shining SO brightly.
So you never know whatcha gonna get here in the northwest. Smile

Alright, so I got distracted before I finished exactly what I was going to say. What I meant to say is, although there is ice, the kind of ice she posted above is not what we get here.
We get ice, frost, and slippery spots, but not sheets of thick ice like they do on the east cost.

Hahah!! I love it.

Although I didn't mean to start a fight, I will say it was icy on Saturday. We hit black ice driving from Damascus to the church.

Anyway. The photos are, in fact, of frost on the back of our truck. Not thick ice. And I know for a fact you do get frost here. Smile
